Eugène-Aimé Salon conceived a Champagne based on one village, one grape and one harvest. The Chardonnay comes from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs, and only selected years carry the Salon vintage label. That single-origin approach makes its wines different from the multi-village blends commonly associated with larger Champagne houses.
