Les Sétilles is the house white of Olivier Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet, a Bourgogne Blanc blended from dozens of small plots around Puligny and Meursault. The 2022 is fresh, gently honeyed and easy to like, with a chalky finish.
About This Wine
Sétilles is the land-registry name of the spot in Puligny where the Leflaive cellar stands, just below the 230-metre line under which village appellations stop. The wine draws on around 60 climats, mostly in Puligny and Meursault, on calcareous and silty clay. For 2022 half the grapes were crushed and half pressed whole, both fermentations ran in oak, and the wine spent 14 months ageing: about 70 per cent in barrel, only 10 per cent of it new, and 30 per cent in stainless steel. It is 13% ABV.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: White peach, pear and a touch of honey, with light citrus.
- Palate: Fresh and delicate, with orchard fruit and a soft, rounded texture.
- Finish: Clean and lively, with a light chalky grip at the end.
Serving & Food
Chill to 10 to 12°C and pour into a standard white wine glass. Drink now through 2029. It works well with salt and pepper squid, steamed grouper with ginger and spring onion, or baked Brie.

About the Domaine
Olivier Leflaive comes from the Puligny family behind Domaine Leflaive, and represents its 18th generation, but in 1984 he set up a house of his own. From the start he set up a grape-buying side to the business so that he could offer wines from most of the Côte de Beaune, the Côte Chalonnaise and Chablis.
The estate side has grown steadily too. It began with four small plots in Puligny-Montrachet Les Meix and now owns about 26 hectares covering 82 climats, mostly in Puligny, Meursault and Chassagne. The house has long made room for visitors, first with a tasting table that pairs wines with food, and now with a four-star hotel and two restaurants on the village square.
