Krug Collection 1995 is the extended-aged second release of Krug Vintage 1995, held back in the house cellars to develop extra depth, freshness and complexity before release. Presented with gift box, it is a serious Champagne for collectors, luxury gifting and milestone dining occasions.
From the Producer
Krug describes Krug Collection as "time's second revelation" of a Krug Vintage: a very limited number of bottles of each Vintage are kept under ideal conditions in the house's cellars, where they continue to develop before the Cellar Master and Tasting Committee judge them ready to be disgorged and released, decades after the original harvest. Of the 1995 release specifically, Krug states the composition includes "plot's wines of Pinot Noir (48%), Chardonnay (35%) and Meunier (17%)," translating "the serenity and complexity of the year 1995 now with intensity and depth."
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Cocoa, biscuit, orange marmalade and mature citrus complexity
- Palate: Layered pastry richness with candied orange, buttered madeleine notes and precise freshness
- Finish: Long, elegant and lifted, with fine citrus tension and mature Champagne depth
Best For
Outstanding for prestige gifting, collector cellars, Michelin-level pairings and celebrations where bottle pedigree matters as much as flavour
