Krug Clos du Mesnil 2004 is the house's single-vineyard Blanc de Blancs from the walled Clos du Mesnil in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, built entirely from Chardonnay. It is a tightly focused prestige Champagne for collectors and tables where purity, tension and vineyard identity matter more than broad opulence.
From the Producer
Krug states that Clos du Mesnil "exalts the extreme purity of one of the finest terroirs in Champagne – a single walled plot of vines... and of a single grape variety, Chardonnay – from a single year." The 1.84-hectare plot has been enclosed by walls since 1698 and was secured by fifth-generation family members Rémi and Henri Krug in 1971; the first vintage was created from the 1979 harvest, and Krug's Tasting Committee only creates a Clos du Mesnil in years judged to reveal the purest expression of the site's Chardonnay. The 2004 is the 18th vintage produced from this plot.

- Palate: Precise and chiselled, with fine mousse, citrus depth, saline minerality and layered Chardonnay concentration.
