Dom Pérignon P2 2002 Magnum is the second Plénitude (P2) of the celebrated 2002 vintage, here presented in 1.5L magnum format with gift box, pairing later-release maturity with the slower evolution and presentation appeal of large-format Champagne.
From the Producer
The 2002 vintage is one of Dom Pérignon’s most acclaimed releases — a warm, ripe year that produced structured, age-worthy wines across the Côte des Blancs. Dom Pérignon returned the 2002 base wine to the cellar for the P2 (Plénitude Deuxième) stage, released after around fifteen years on lees. Magnums age more slowly than 750mL bottles because of the lower oxygen-to-wine ratio, so large-format P2 releases offer a particular balance of late-release character and retained freshness.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Citrus peel, marzipan, brioche, white flowers and gentle smoky minerality.
- Palate: Deep and creamy, with ripe fruit, chalky freshness, pastry notes and a broad vintage-Champagne structure.
- Finish: Very long, saline and layered, carrying toast, citrus and mineral persistence.
Best For
Luxury gifting, collector cellars and celebratory service where format, maturity and Dom Pérignon’s P2 designation are the point of the bottle.
