In the relatively difficult Tuscan vintage of 1989, Terrabianca has turned out a fine 1989 Campaccio Reserva. It offers an herb, tobacco, vanillin, and cassis-scented nose, rich, medium to full-bodied flavors, adequate acidity, and a smooth, concentrated finish with gobs of ripe fruit. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. The Terrabianca estate has benefited from significant financial investments, and the results are superb wines, which, in my opinion, are underpriced given the exceptional qualitative level.
